Harrison has many places to satisfy your craving or leave you wanting more. Whether you prefer classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate or more adventurous options like Eggnog or Pumpkin, a perfect ice cream spot is out there for everyone, and these local shops are just waiting to satisfy your craving.
Graeter’s is a Cincinnati institution known around the country as spectacular ice cream. It has a wide variety of flavors, adding up all of their limited and year-round flavors, with 42 different ice creams in total. Limited flavors become linked to the season or Holiday happening that month. Only in December, Eggnog, yet another available flavor, alongside a Peppermint stick. October comes with Pumpkin, and March with Mint Cookies and Cream. All year round Graeter’s signature flavor, Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip, is available for the many it is loved by. Harrison’s nearest Graeter’s is on Harrison Avenue in Dent, but you can also pick up this delicious ice cream at Kroger.
Up next is Whippy Dip. Whippy Dip is a new option for Harrison, and it has over 40 flavors and a variety of floats and Slushies. Whippy Dip offers vegan options, no sugar, and much more in a large selection held towards the back of the store. They also offer shakes and flurries along with food items. Consumers describe Whippy Dip as a scoop of nostalgia and a place to make early memories as kids enjoy ice cream in the summer heat, racing against the sun to protect their cold treat. Being so close to the school, it is easy to stop by on your way home. They will close for the season on Dec 30th, so stop by soon.
Dairy Queen has very diverse ice cream flavors. On Fridays, many students go to Dairy Queen as an end of the week treat, a reward for surviving a long week. DQ offers Blizzards and cones in a variety of flavors to suit personal preference. DQ cones may be plain or dipped in chocolate. These sundaes offer a choice of either Hot Fudge, strawberry, caramel peanut butter, or pineapple. Our Dairy Queen is just down the street, across from Kroger.
