After dinner, what goes bettter with dessert from Abersons (a not-as-new business that is also doing delicious things in Harrison) than a good book? Harrison has a brand-new bookstore located downtown. Enchanted Novelties offers various genres of books. The bookstore also offers bookish gifts and has a studio space for workshops. Maddie, the maker of Enchanted Novelties, started off the business as a therapeutic outlet while planning a wedding during the pandemic. Fast forward a few years, and she has turned this idea of books and bookish gifts into a full-time job of creating pieces. Enchanted Novelties’ grand opening happened on Saturday, September 9th. There are no set official times of opening and closing, but check the Facebook page for more info. Enchanted Novelties is a cozy place where you can buy books and also have a seat inside on the cozy couches and chairs to read a book. If you’re looking to buy some great books and support a local bookstore, then stop by Enchanted Novelties.
It’s no cornfield, sure, but these businesses are great additions to our community.
