Coachella has long been recognized not only as a destination for music and art, but also as a platform for fashion. Each year, guests arrive with carefully styled outfits that reflect current trends, personal expression, and the festival’s unique aesthetic. For those unaware of the event, Coachella is an exclusive music festival in California, where tickets range from roughly $550 to $1300 per person.
In this piece, we’re ranking some of the most talked-about Coachella 2025 looks, from least to most impressive. Please note: this list does not include every outfit worn over the course of the weekend. Instead, we’ve selected one standout look per individual (typically the one that received the most attention).
Carter Kench
Let’s talk about the worst. Carter’s outfit being put at the bottom of our list is pretty controversial, because people think it’s ‘different’ and ‘iconic’. But let’s be honest, has anyone actually put it at the top of their lists? Personally, we think it’s too different, and did not require the same amount of thought as some of the outfits higher on the list. This wardrobe choice might’ve been more appropriate for a Halloween costume party.
Katie Fang
Before talking about the outfit itself, it’s worth acknowledging that Katie has received an unfair amount of criticism online. This was her first Coachella, and it’s clear she put effort into her look, so the backlash feels excessive. That said, we found the outfit itself to be somewhat mismatched. The bubble skirt, paired with the glittery triangle top, didn’t quite come together in a cohesive way. The creativity was there, but the execution could have been much better.
Kendall Jenner
BORING. This outfit was really cute, but the reason it’s ranked so low is that there isn’t really anything else to say beyond that. Her dress was a nice color, and was pretty, but her outfit was very simple and required little thought/effort compared to the others on the list.
Josh Richards
His outfit did have some more thought than Jenner’s, and he matched well with his girlfriend’s outfit. The jeans had some cool images on them that matched his color schemes, and the necktie or what it’s called brought it all together. It was a little basic though with the plain white shirt, but overall, a good outfit.
Kalogeras sisters
She’s an icon, she’s a legend, but she was not the moment. Similar to Katie Fang, it was these girls first Coachella so you can’t expect too much. Their outfits on days 2 and 3 were much better than this, but we chose this one because it is the one that’s been shown the most online. These outfits are still very cute, but they didn’t capture the Coachella vibes, it was just a little too simple to make it high on the list.
Demetria
There is nothing bad to say about her outfit, it was very cohesive, her shirt was cute, there was a nice pop of color in the shorts, and her fan/other accessories matched well. However, her wardrobe choice follows the theme with most of the other outfits on the bottom half of the list: it was just simple. However, this was still a well put together outfit and she looked great!
Hailey Bieber
Her outfit was really great, and we could definitely make a case for her to fall higher on the list. It was very well put together and had a lot of different pieces, and she definitely did a great job for her last Coachella. However, the reason it fell in the middle is just because we’ve seen others similar to it before on apps like Pinterest, so it wasn’t extra creative or original. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that it was a great outfit.
Haylee Kalil
This is another controversial one because a lot of people rated it higher and a lot of people rated it lower. The outfit would have been pretty basic, but the netting over it really elevated the look and goes well with the colors. The hair is very different from what others have been doing lately and does fit the Coachella vibe well, especially in the earlier years like 2014. However, it does feel kind of off because the hair is a completely different color scheme than the rest of the look.
Leah (love island)
Leah ‘literally did her big one up there’ at Coachella. One thing about Leah is that her outfits always look amazing on her. This outfit in particular wasn’t too complex, but it still looked great and was a great color choice for her.
Charli Damelio
Her outfit reached the very top of the list for a lot of people, and for a good reason. All the items of clothing went together really well, and it just looked great. Her hair also looked amazing.
James Charles
Hey sisters! Sorry to disappoint but he did not wear his Gucci shoes to Coachella. No matter where we put this one, it is going to be controversial. You either loved it or you hated it, and we love it. His makeup was really creative and beautiful, and that really elevated the look. His outfit was more creative than some of the other people lower on the list, so he does get some points for that, even if it could’ve been a little better. We do feel like he redeemed his outfits a little more on the later days, but this whole look remains iconic.
Alex Earl
Welp. That’s that. Earl’s outfit was really well put together, and out there for sure, overall, just very cohesive. It fit the vibes of Coachella, and she definitely went all out.
Tara Yummy
Let’s just say that Tara earned her spot this high on the list. She devoured her outfits all three days and they were all iconic. You can tell that she put a lot of thought into layering the clothes and making sure they were all cohesive, and it paid off. The only commentary we have on this look is that she might get a little sweaty in the hot California sun with all that fur.
Madeline White
If we’re being honest, all three of her outfits ate. She was very creative and used lots of colors and accessories, even matching her hairstyle to her outfits. Madeline did an amazing job and definitely earned her place at the top!
