This Saturday, if you found yourself near Miamitown, you could have seen a Harrison Wildcat living her dream. Junior Olivia Parsons set took over the restaurant patio as a part of her book selling business.
Olivia Parson is a book lover and student at Harrison High School who runs her very own business selling wrapped books, called Blind Date with a Book. When prompted, Parson stated, “I created Blind Date with a Book to share the joy of reading in a fun, surprising way.”
Parson picked up reading as a hobby during COVID, and her love for it has only grown since. She communicates that she saw the idea on social media, and when she couldn’t find anyone using the Blind Date idea locally, she thought it would be fun to do it herself! She states that she enjoys the creative agency and the opportunity to design new “themed” wrappings.
She is regularly stocked at Java Jackets, but she has a pop-up show scheduled for the first time this Saturday at Ari & Mia’s Small Town Cafe!
