As if caring for over 150 students wasn’t enough, 3 Harrison teachers just added new members to the Wildcat family over the summer! Math teacher Mrs. Forsthoefel, Spanish teacher Mrs. McLean, and former ASL teacher Ms. Bachand all welcomed new babies since we saw them last.
Mrs. Forsthoefel had her first baby boy, Charlie, and she says he is 10/10, a perfect baby. When she found out she was pregnant, she was very excited to tell her husband, and when she told him, he thought she was joking. He said “I thought she went out and bought a fake pregnancy test!”
Her students, on the other hand, had a different reaction. Although they were excited, they knew they would miss her in the classroom after she left in March. As excited as Mrs. Forsthoefel was for herself, she said “It was difficult writing sub plans everyday for months” and she also states that she wishes she could have gotten to know her students better. When asked about if it was hard to go back to teaching after Charlie was born, she says “It was indeed hard for me, but I was excited to get back to my students and the teaching environment.”
Congratulations to all!
