During the past year and half Miss. Sabrina Carpenter has been putting on her Short and Sweet tour. This tour is inspired by the 50s and has an elaborate white house (with a pink heart at the end) that she traverses throughout the tour. She provided a fun, humorous, and musical experience which connected people not only to the music but also to each other. Her recent shows in Nashville were amazing when we (Emily and Malia) saw them on separate nights.
Not only does she perform songs, but she also interacts with her fans in a fun way. During her concert in Nashville (night two) she stepped out in a blue and white graham styled bodice (which later was covered up in a white transparent baby doll dress) for the first act of the show. She also did this country styled outfit to fit the theme of the country roots that are held in Nashville.
Carpenter usually reveals these outfits in a sparkly towel during the show opener every night, which during this tour is Taste. The highlight of this act was definitely the opening, Manchild, and the special Bed Chem outro. Transitioning to the next act she stepped out in a skintight black sparkly bodysuit and a pink feather boa. In this act she sung some key songs, one of the most notable ones was Because I Liked A Boy. When she finished the song, the crowd gave her a 3-5 minute standing ovation from the whole stadium.
For the spin the bottle surprise song she performed Nobody’s Son from her new album. Giving some of her most iconic performances during this act. For the third, and final act, she stepped out in the caramel iconic two piece. During her famous arrest she captured a girl from Ohio named Helen who said she could break up with her boyfriend for Sabrina. She also stunned a famous western showdown for the famous ‘Juno pose.’ She finished the show with the crowd screaming Espresso with beautiful espresso-colored confetti, cementing a show to be remembered.
One night a year the Short and Spooky tour put a Halloween spin on Sabrina’s classic short and sweet tour, and the end result is the perfect Halloween outing. Embracing the full joy of Halloween everyone is dressed up, from screaming fans in the pit, to surprise celebrities and even the house band, a variety of fun costumes make the show a unique experience. This year she stepped out and revealed her unique Halloween body suit: wonder woman. The sparkly outfit and matching high heeled boots were completely authentic to Sabrina but also allowed for a fun Halloween twist. She performed her most famous songs pulling from her last three albums but mostly singing from Short and Sweet (since that is the name of the tour).
A quarter of the way in she disappears from behind the set and emerges in the classic pink cowboy two piece from the New Barbie movie. Inspired by her new outfit the song she spun that night was Barbie Girl after her Barbie performance she fell back into her fan favorite songs summoning a screaming crowd by asking “who lives on pretty girl avenue” before she performed House Tour.
After “ghosting” the crowd one last time she emerged in her final costume: Fred Flintstone. Pared with sparkly black boots topped with two small, bedazzled bones, and a large bone that she threw to the audience, Sabrina took the law into her own hands and playfully arrested Drew Barrymore. As the lights faded for the final time and multi-colored confetti littered the sky the audience screamed in joy. This show is the perfect mix of the classic short and sweet tour and childlike Halloween fun.
