Logan White, a Defensive End for the Harrison Wildcats, ends off his high school career having dealt with some serious injuries. Logan tore his UCL during one of last year’s games, and this year he snapped his labrum. During last year’s season, he had a career record of 22 sacks and 35 TFLS (tackle for loss) and won many awards. This season he only played a full 3 games and played in and out of 3. He did this because during practice he went to hit someone off the line and his labrum snapped and people say it sounded like gunshots. And once week 6 was over, he couldn’t take it anymore. He was forced to get surgery and sat out and had to watch his team and friends play from the sidelines.
Even with his two serious injuries, Logan won Skyline player of the year and got 1st team all-district, 1st team all-state and 1st team all-conference and Cincinnati defensive player of the year finalist.

After recovering from his ACL injury his junior year, Logan started his senior year hoping for greaet things. He started off the year with 1 sack and 1 TFL vs the Loveland Tigers in their very first game. Then the he and the team faced their rivals the East Central Trojans. Logan made a big impact as the Cats ended up losing in a nail biter; he ended the game with 0 sacks but 5 TFLS.
The next week, things took a turn for the worse with Logan getting injured the week of the Beavercreek game. Logan was just having a normal day at practice. He was going through his normal defensive line drills and doing a walk through. They started doing a team set where it’s 1 offense vs 1 defense (Varsity on Varsity). During one play, Logan tried to press someone off the line, and he just tore it. “It was like a gunshot that’s how loud it was, I thought we were being shot at” Senior Zeb Warrington said. Logan said he knew right away that something was wrong. He fell to the ground and was holding his arm because of how bad he felt.
But he still wanted to play so as he came into the game at halftime he came in and made an impact right away. He would end up having 1 sack and 3 TFLS. The Cats would go on to win this game 28-21 over a very good Beavercreek team.
Because of his injury, Logan sat out the whole Western Hills game. The Cats still ended up winning 48-8. When the Cats faced Ross, Logan only ended up playing until halftime he totaled – 0 sacks and 2 TFLS as the Cats went on to win 33-7.
After that game Logan had some thoughts: he didn’t know if his next game was going to be his last or if he was going to stick it out. So as the game vs Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy crept up, he had time to talk to his family and to the doctor and his coaches. This team made the difficult decision that after that game, he needed to stop playing to get surgery. He did not end up play vs CHCA for the betterment of his body, and the Cats ended up losing 31-29 in a very close game.
Logan was devastated and was very mad that he would not be able to play again. His injury also makes him not unable to wrestle during his senior year as well and he is very upset about it. But his teammates were just as devastated as he was. He was a major impact on the defense and was one of the captains of the team. So, losing him was a big deal. Teams had plays to triple team him just so he had no impact on the play. Even the coaches were upset that they would no longer had Logan in games. He was a big leader and held everyone accountable at practice and during games.
Logan is recovering faster than people expected. He goes to physical therapy every Tuesday and Thursday to recover. Let’s hope for a speedy recovery!!!
