Here at Harrison High School, we have an amazing senior named Adrian Krull who, this September, started his own cooking show on Instagram. His love for cooking and making food for people in the community has inspired him to connect with his audience and share his interests with the world, so he thought a cooking show would be a perfect fit. You can find his show, Kooking With Krull, on Instagram.

When being asked about his love for cooking, Adrian responded, “Food has always been a core memory for me, whether it be my grandma making me cookies or just me and my family going out to eat at LaRosa’s.” We can all relate to loving grandma’s cookies. Going over to your grandma’s house for homemade cookies is a “don’t miss” childhood experience. And LaRosa’s is so relatable–if you’re from Cincy, you love LaRosa’s. Adrian’s good food related memories led him to want to provide that level of comfort and care for other people by cooking for them.
Krull has such a passion, that he stays with the show even when it gets hard because of the recognition, and how happy it makes people when he cooks for them. He said, “I constantly get recognized in the hallway, I get a ton of attention for how good my food looks and tastes, the people who’ve tasted my food never stop telling me how good it was.” It makes you feel good

when people enjoy what you have accomplished, and that’s why Adrian loves doing the Kooking with Krull show and why he plans to continue doing it for the foreseeable future.
Krull shared that “the ingredients [for his cooking show] are locally sourced from a variety of places, specifically Kroger and Rempke.” He added that Pathways To Home, a local food bank, “has always been there supporting [him] in the background; Elizabeth Marlowe [the director of Pathways] never fails to contribute to the show.” When they have extra food that is going to go bad before they can get it to people, giving it to Adrian to cook up into something delicious is a great solution. Adrian adds that “the recipes themselves come from students or teachers that request them.”
Elizabeth Marlowe said that while she doesn’t make appearances on the show, that she loves “making sure that no one in our community goes hungry.” Adrian really helps out the community and brings joy into people’s lives through this show.
The Kooking With Krull show was made as an outlet for Adrian to share his love for cooking, connect with his school and community, and to bring a bit of positivity to people’s days. And to help him grow and support his incredible efforts make sure to follow Kooking with Krull on Instagram.
